Hope your Labor Day was fantastic and that you got to rest/relax/read/imbibe/grill/eat/play and hopefully, rest and relax all over again. So now with summer officially over, it’s time to take a look back at summer movies and I’m hoping you’ll share your opinion first on the summer’s action-packed blockbusters. Next week, we can discuss the zany comedies and the romantic ones too, but for now, let’s take a peek at the films that came out and that did boffo biz at the box office. See, these are the action-y /adventure-y movies — and they are usually sequels or based on comic books or remakes from another medium (like TV) where the studios so sure the special effects will be great that sometimes it doesn’t even matter whether there’s a great plot. Or even great acting. (Of course that’s not always the case but you might be surprised to learn that summer’s biggest earner is also the biggest moneymaker of the year:  Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen brought in a cool  $400 million bucks)

So now to the big films of summer that made bucketfuls of cash and got seen again and again by thousands and thousands of people. Which of summer’s top money earners in the action/adventure category was your favorite? Voice your choice in today’s featured poll.

Which was your favorite summer blockbuster?
