Miley Cyrus doesn’t understand why you’re still talking about her VMA performance.

In a new interview with MTV, the pop star says people are overthinking her provocative VMA number with Robin Thicke.

“What’s amazing is we’re three days later and people are still talking about it. They’re over thinking it. You’re thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it. I didn’t even think about it because that’s just me,” says Cyrus in the interview.

And as for what you’re saying about said performance? Cyrus says she doesn’t pay attention to the negativity.

“How many times have we seen this play out in pop music?” says Cyrus. “Madonna has done it, Britney has done it. Anyone that performs, that’s what you’re looking for, you’re wanting to make history me and Robin the whole time said, ‘You know, we’re about to make history right now.'”

Is she right? Is the Madonna/Britney comparison fair? And are we really over-thinking her performance? Watch below and sound-off in the comments.
