Looks like Klaus (Joseph Morgan) might be getting cozy with another blonde soon.
In this exclusive behind-the-scenes photo from episode two of CW’s The Originals, Morgan shares a laugh with co-star Leah Pipes, who plays bartender/pysch major Cami.
So, does this mean an on-screen romance is in the cards for the duo? Though Klaus and Cami bonded over a painting in the backdoor pilot for the series which aired during an episode of The Vampire Diaries earlier this year, they don’t share any scenes in the revised cut of the first episode. In other words, we’ll have to wait until episode two to find out whether sparks actually fly.
The cut Klaus-Cami scene isn’t the only thing that has changed in the premiere. From more Elijah (Daniel Gillies) to a surprisingly sympathetic Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), here are a few more reasons why you should check out the new Originals opener:
Elijah, Elijah, Elijah…
Fans have been clamoring for more Elijah since his sporadic appearances on The Vampire Diaries. Now, it looks like they may finally be getting their wish. Though Elijah popped up in the backdoor pilot for The Originals, he has a much bigger role in the revised cut. He also interacts with quite a few pivotal characters, which brings us to our next point…
Love is in the air!
Klaus and Cami may have shared a moment in the backdoor pilot, but in the new version, Elijah is the one who seems destined for (a potentially doomed) romance. Between negotiations with witch Sophie (Daniella Pineda) and a heart-to-heart with Hayley, possible love interests abound.
A Vampire Diaries spin-off without any flashbacks? As if! The premiere takes us back in time to remind fans how the Original family came to be.
