Talk about a workout.
Long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad, 64, is doing laps for 48 continuous hours in the middle of New York City to benefit AmeriCares Sandy Relief Fund.
Nyad is best known for her highly-publicized attempt at crossing the 103 miles between Cuba and Florida without a shark cage in 2011. (She had to stop after 41 hours because of multiple jellyfish stings). She ultimately managed to finish the course earlier this year.
