From the NBC reproduction of The Sound of Music to Alanis Morissette taking on Broadway (sort of), here are the five need-to-know entertainment stories to click before the weekend.

Carrie Underwood and Stephen Moyer will be taking on the famous musical roles in The Sound of Music for NBC’s telecast, airing Dec. 5. Since it’s a live show, we’ll have to wait a few more weeks before seeing the former Idol winner show us just how much “the hills are alive,” but there’s a new trailer revealing snippets from behind the scenes. Attention, Potter fans! You’ll be able to order your very own (hot or cold) Butterbeer at Starbucks this holiday season. Don’t forget to give the recipe to your barista though —  the drink is off Starbucks “secret” menu. [Bustle]

Hilary Duff paid a visit to fellow Disney Channel alum Selena Gomez, who stopped in L.A. last night for her “Stars Dance” tour. Along with her gal pals, Duff watched the concert from a lounge at the Staples Center, where they indulged in wine and cocktails, like the signature Selena-rita, a mixed drink with watermelon. Following in the footsteps of Green Day’s American Idiot musical, Alanis Morissette will be bringing her 1995 debut album, Jagged Little Pill, to Broadway audiences. The musical, being developed by Tony and Pulitzer winner Tom Kitt, who previously worked on Idiot, as well as Vivek J. Tiwary and Arvind Ethan David, will feature songs from the titular CD as well as new original tracks. [Rolling Stone]

Next time you’re feeling blue, take a cue from Deborah Cohan, a San Francisco woman who launched into a Beyonce dance party before going in for a mastectomy. Cohan got her whole medical team in on the action as they gyrated to Bey’s “Get Me Bodied.” Seriously uplifting stuff. Watch the video below. [People]
