Jennifer Lawrence debuts a new pixie ‘do — check out 6 other Hollywood pixies

Looks like Katniss is going to be needing a wig for the next Hunger Games! On Wednesday Jennifer Lawrence revealed a head-turning new ‘do on her Facebook page, and gone is her shoulder-length bob. Say hello to her sleek new pixie!

The hair-raising news comes on the heels of another celeb who recently went under the scissors and a slew of other actresses who’ve proven that shorter can be better. Take a look at six other actresses who’ve rocked the pixie cut:

Pamela Anderson: Right before JLaw showed off her new hair, Anderson debuted her own pixie cut last month. It’s a long way from her Baywatch locks, but we think Anderson has never looked so stylish. (It must’ve been a huge help for her run during the New York Marathon, too!)

Miley Cyrus, Anne Hathaway and more after the jump!

Miley Cyrus: The pop star admitted that she cut her hair to let go of the past. Now she’s creating a new history with envelope-pushing VMA performances, experimental music genres and the chance to shed her Hannah Montana image.

Anne Hathaway: We wouldn’t expect anything less than chic from this fashion plate. Hathaway chopped off her brunette locks in 2012 for her role as Fantine in Les Miserables and has continued to grow it out gracefully since the film’s debut.

Charlize Theron: Late last year Theron buzzed her hair to a barely-there look for Mad Max and continues to shine with the wispy look.

Beyonce: In August, Queen B stunned fans with a short blond ‘do, but it’s hard to say whether it was an illusion created by her beauty squad or an actual snip. The pop diva was seen a week later with a longer bob.

Keri Russell: It was the chop heard ’round the world. The Felicity actress decided to bid adieu to her signature curly strands in 1999 and instead went with a cropped ‘do that left fans polarized and the WB network none too happy. Soon after, the show’s ratings plummeted.
