Puppy-dog eyes, scenic mechanical bull rides and lots and lots of snuggling are on full display in John Mayer and Katy Perry’s intimate, semi-improvised new video “Who You Love.” The passionately sincere video oscillates between various couples romantically frolicking on a mechanical bull, and Perry and Mayer soulfully serenading each other.

The musical duo, who have been dating since early 2012, told Good Morning America this morning that everyone in the video is a real-life couple. “We set the casting call up for real couples. It’s just so authentic – they were having a great time,” Mayer said on the telecast. “There’s nothing scripted in that video except putting a bull in the middle of the desert.”

Watch the emotional, as well as the literal, fireworks provided by the talented musical couple below.

Perry went on to share some intimate details about her “Who You Love” co-star on the telecast. Sorry, John Mayer, we’re talking about her other co-star, the mechanical bull.

“Relationships are kind of like riding a bull,” the “Roar” singer said. “You hang on for dear life and sometimes you get a little buck here and there and sometimes you get things thrown at you but you get back on.”
