'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' - UK Premiere - Red Carpet Arrivals

Happy Wednesday! Let’s all celebrate the birth of Mr. Brad Pitt by enjoying some celebrity headlines. Is Justin Bieber retiring? Who is this year’s highest-earning movie star? Why is my ssssssss key suddenly not working? Two of those questions will be answered while I add a new computer to the ol’ Christmas list.

Here are the 6 stories you need to read this morning:

1. Back to Stark Industries, Iron Man. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the top-grossing movie star of 2013 according to a new list by Forbes. Johnson barely edged out last year’s winner Robert Downey Jr. with 1.3 billion to his 1.2 billion. The former WWE champion and star of the underrated action comedy The Rundown starred in Snitch, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Pain & Gain and Fast & Furious 6 this year, while Downey Jr. reprised his role as Tony Stark in Iron Man 3. [Forbes]

2. Say it ain’t so, Biebs. Is Justin Bieber retiring? Probably not, but the galvanizing entertainer gave some fans pause during a recent interview with Power 106. Judge for yourself below. [E!]

3. Kelly Rowland confirmed on a pre-taped episode of The Queen Latifah Show that she is indeed engaged to boyfriend Tim Witherspoon, but their engagement was anything but normal. “It happened, um, on Skype,” the singer said. Despite the unorthodox approach the Destiny’s Child alum is ecstatic. “I have my best friend to ride through life with,” she said of Witherspoon. “He really is my best friend.” [Us Weekly]

4. Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale, a tale of a remade television series. Television’s oldest castaways — unless you factor in the time-traveling on Lost which we don’t — are back! Frozen star Josh Gad is set to co-write and star in a feature film based on the 1960’s television series Gilligan’s Island. [Deadline]

5. If you want to propose to your girlfriend you better enlist the help of a celebrity. Aaron Paul recently appeared in a wedding proposal video when a fan won a personalized video from the Breaking Bad star after donating to Paul’s wife’s charity. Grab a tissue and watch below! [Buzzfeed]

6. During an upcoming interview for Barbra Walters’ 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013, Jennifer Lawrence took a strong stance on “weight-shaming.” “I just think it should be illegal to call somebody fat on TV,” the popular Hunger Games actress told Walters. “The media needs to take responsibility for the effect that it has on our younger generation, on these girls who are watching these television shows, and picking up how to talk and how to be cool.” [Access Hollywood]
