Now this is the kind of parental supervision we can get behind.
Mom stars Anna Faris and Allison Janney have been tapped to host People’s Choice Awards 2015. Exec producer Mark Burnett revealed that Faris and Janney will be helming the People’s Choice Awards during the nominations announcement at the PaleyCenter for Media in Los Angeles on Nov. 4. (See the full list of nominees here.)
“We are thrilled to have Anna and Allison as hosts of our show,” Executive Producer Mark Burnett said in a statement. “Our job is to entertain our audience, and these actresses have such chemistry and comedic timing that no matter who wins, everyone will be having fun.”
Faris and Janney already have some ideas for the show.
“Allison wants to do a kissing booth between commercials,” Faris said during the nominations announcement.
Quipped Janney in response: “Well that is nominee contingent.”
Viewers can definitely expect Faris and Janney to bring the laughs. Besides showing off her comedic chops on Mom, Faris has starred in a number of big screen comedies including The House Bunny and the Scary Movie franchise. She’s also had notable roles in movies including Lost in Translation and Brokeback Mountain. Meanwhile, Janney recently won an Emmy and a Critic’s Choice Award for her hilarious role on Mom. Her resume also boasts a number of dramatic small screen roles — including turns on West Wing and more recently Masters of Sex, and big screen appearances in films including The Way, Way Back and The Help.
This won’t be the CBS sitcom duo’s first time on the People’s Choice Awards stage. Faris and Janney actually presented the award for “Favorite Daytime TV Host” at least year’s show.
“We figured we had such a good time last year, why not take over the whole thing?” joked Janney.

The People's Choice Awards will air live from the Nokia Theater L.A. Live on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT) on CBS.
