They may be a little bit country, but the performers at the 2014 Country Music Awards gave the audience with a whole lot of rock and roll!

Luke Bryan captured the coveted Entertainer of the Year award, while country superstar Miranda Lambert took home four CMAs including Album of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, and her very first  “Single of the Year honor during last night’s CMAs.

Hosted by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley, the 2014 Country Music Awards featured a number of surprising duets from several of the music industry’s brightest stars.

Here are the five best performances from the 2014 CMAs!

1. Ariana Grande and Little Big Town perform “Bang Bang.”

Ariana Grande and Little Big Town teamed up for an electrifying (in more ways than one) performance of “Bang Bang” as the fearless foursome sported matching light-up costumes.

2. Miranda Lambert and Meghan Trainor perform “All About That Bass.”

What’s the only way to make a rendition of “All About That Bass” better? By adding a pinch of country music superstar Miranda Lambert!

3. Blake Shelton and Ashley Monroe team up for a stirring rendition of “Lonely Tonight.”

Their duet is also available on Shelton’s new album Bringing Back the Sunshine!

4. Carrie Underwood sings “Something in the Water.”

The CMA Awards host, who announced, well, who allowed co-host Brad Paisley to announce she’s expecting a baby boy with husband Mike Fisher, flawlessly performed double duty as she delivered an amazing rendition of “Something in the Water.”

5. Loretta Lynn joins Kacey Musgraves for a duet of “You’re Looking at Country.”

Country superstar Kacey Musgraves was joined by the Queen of Country Music Loretta Lynn as the two sang “You’re Looking at Country” by the Grand Old Opry.
