With the People’s Choice Awards being an entirely fan-voted awards show, these leading ladies knew they had to give the people what they want. The result? Hollywood’s finest served up some serious style on the People’s Choice Awards red carpet tonight.
People’s Choice Awards hosts and Mom stars Allison Janney and Anna Faris dominated the carpet as a duo as if to say “we got this,” while other stars, like Ellen Pompeo and Sarah Hyland turned heads in pretty pastels.
From glam metallics and slinky party dresses to soft hues and full blown ballgowns (props to you, Stana Katic), it’s obvious the stars had fun with their fashion at this year’s ceremony. Let’s take a closer look at who hit it out of the park with some of our favorite looks from the night.
We couldn’t take our eyes off Allison Janey in this sparkly, silver Rani Zakhem mermaid gown. The ‘Mom’ star delivered some high-class, old-school Hollywood glam — and, not to mention, some serious curves.
The “Modern Family” star showed off a subtle sexy look with a frosty silver Christian Siriano dress with sheer skirt. With her hair slicked back and her makeup accentuating her gorgeous green eyes, Hyland looked effortlessly radiant.
It might still be winter but “Castle” star Stana Katic got her jumpstart on spring in this sweeping, strapless black Carolina Herrera ball gown with white floral bloomings as embellishment.
This hostess proved she had the mostest in this ruffley, haltered two-piece Juan Carlos Obando white jumpsuit. Her platinum blonde bangs and effervescent smile were the best accessories.
One-third of People’s Choice Awards performance group Lady Antebellum, lead singer Hillary Scott was all smiles in this silky cream, cross-strap halter gown by Yigal Azrouel with black branch detail.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” star took a detour from the usual red carpet frock and opted for a peachy wide-legged jumpsuit with a lacy back.
As a 2015 nominee for “Favorite Daytime TV Host” (an award she’s won three years running), Ellen DeGeneres looked cool calm and collected in this head-to-toe white ensemble. With wife and “Scandal” star Portia Di Rossi on her arm in an illusion, panel jumpsuit, the duo were easily one of carpet’s best-dressed “it” couples.
Don’t even try to tell “Scorpion” star Katharine McPhee that black-and-white is boring. The “American Idol” alum wore a two-piece ensemble with a criss-crossed keyhole top and striped bottom by Balmain.
