Fallon shared a few backstage anecdotes regarding the iconic 40th anniversary special before revealing a number of unbelievable stories from the already legendary after-party.

The Tonight Show host ended up MCing an epic jam session during Sunday night’s after-party that featured performances by Prince, Elvis Costello, Bill Murray, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Michael Bolton, and a slew of other surprising celebrities.

Perhaps the most shocking musical number of the night, however, was an impromptu performance of “Shake It Off” from Fallon, Taylor Swift, and Paul McCartney.

“I go up on stage; it’s Dan Aykroyd and Paul McCartney and we sing a blues song. And then Taylor Swift is in the crowd so I go, ‘Taylor, c’mon up,”‘ Fallon shared with a captivated Tonight Show audience. “We all sing “I Saw Her Standing There” me, Taylor, Paul McCartney, and Aykroyd and then she does “Shake It Off,” so me and McCartney sing. I didn’t even know he knew “Shake It Off.””

Jimmy Fallon, Taylor Swift, and Paul McCartney singing “Shake It Off” at the Plaza Hotel!? That sounds more like an amazing Mad Libs as opposed to a real life event that actually happened.

Unfortunately no one has released the full video yet, but Taylor Swift posted a highlight of their performance on Instagram:
