While the Fast & Furious films are best known for their high-octane action, the forthcoming sequel promises to be brimming with emotion after the tragic passing of star Paul Walker.

The tight-knit cast, who have been working together on the popular succession of movies for over a decade, have been eulogizing their departed co-star as the opening of Furious 7 nears. Jordana Brewster, who plays Walker’s on-screen love interest throughout the film franchise, recently expressed her feelings regarding the late actor.

“He was the most amazing person,” the actress told BELLA New York. “And I’m constantly reminded that he is not here. It’s very strange and so completely wrong.”

Jordana isn’t the only Furious 7 cast member who’s opened up about the loss of the beloved co-star as the eagerly anticipated release of the seventh installment approaches. Vin Diesel recently broke down while paying tribute to his on and off screen friend during the California premiere of Furious 7.

“This was a labor of love,” Diesel said while presenting the film. “It was in some ways the hardest movie I ever had to do, because the relationships that you see on film are so real. When the tragedy happened, I lost my best friend. I lost my brother.”

The film will reportedly feature a “touching end scene” that commemorates the life of Paul Walker a tribute that Furious 7 star Tyrese Gibson calls “the most beautiful thing you’ll ever see.”

“All the things you love about Fast & Furious are in there, but this tribute is so touching and necessary,” Gibson said at South by Southwest. “The fans are really going to appreciate it.”

Furious 7 arrives in theaters April 3.
