If you’re sad about The Hunger Games coming to a close, you might want to wait before busting out the tissues. According to Josh Hutcherson, there may just be more Hunger Games to come after Mockingjay – Part 2 hits theaters this November.
Hutcherson, who will reprise his role as Peeta in the upcoming film, teased fans with this previously unknown bit of news when he swung by Conan alongside co-stars Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth after their San Diego Comic-Con appearance on Thursday.
The actor inadvertently spilled the beans about a potential continuation of the series after Conan asked if there was a possibility of more beyond Mockingjay – Part 2. In the clip below, you’ll see that Lawrence starts to answer, but Hutcherson quickly butts in and says “There is [more]– I’m sorry, I can’t say that! We’ll see what happens!”
As nothing has been officially announced yet, we advise fans to take Hutcherson’s comment with a grain of salt. Even so, it’s exciting to think of the possibility of the Hunger Games continuing beyond the final film.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 hits theaters on November 20, 2015.
