According to Variety, which was first to report the news, the new show will focus on the wars between the Ford Modeling Agency and Elite Model Management in the 1980s. Despite being based on true events, the show will be completely fictionalized with no names of real people from that time period being used. It will also mark Crawford’s debut as a television producer.
That’s not to say fans should expect any cameos from the ’80s supermodel. While the show will focus on the modeling industry, Crawford herself will not be appearing in the upcoming drama.
Hunger Games scribe Robin Bissell is attached to write the script for the upcoming series, while Anne Heche and James Tupper are set to executive produce the project.
As the project is still in the very early stages of development, there’s no word yet on when we can expect to see it hit our television screens.
