The nominees for People’s Choice Awards 2016 were announced bright and early on Tuesday morning at The Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles. If you couldn’t tune in via Periscope to watch the official @peopleschoice live feed, then we’ve got you covered with these five can’t-miss moments from the nomination ceremony! Read on to find out what you missed!

1. Jane Lynch jokes that she might be Hilary Clinton’s true competition.
We really couldn’t have picked a better host for People’s Choice Awards 2016. Funny woman Jane Lynch totally delivered some great zingers during the press conference, but one of our favorites involved current presidential nominee and former first lady, Hilary Clinton. Speaking of her penchant for keeping it casual with slacks and a nice top, Lynch joked that at People’s Choice Awards 2016, Clinton may find herself in a race against another candidate.

“Hilary [Clinton] and I will probably be neck and neck for favorite pantsuit!” said Lynch, ripping a chorus of laughs from those in attendance.

2. Zachary Levi’s touching words to the fans.
Fan favorite Zachary Levi, who is currently starring on Heroes: Reborn, got a little emotional while announcing some of the nominees on Tuesday morning. In a touching moment, the actor addressed the fans, who he says are the people who really make his life and the lives of other actors possible.

“The only reason we get to be schmucks on television is because of you guys,” said Levi.

3. Betsey Brandt pokes fun at herself.
We loved that Life In Pieces star Betsey Brandt seemed to be just as excited to announce the nominees as we were to hear them! While announcing the first wave of nominees, the actress poked fun of her ecstatic nature by saying, “I love that I say their names as though I get to take credit for what they’ve done!”

4. Abigail Spencer and Zachary Levi celebrate after she announces his nomination.
Rectify star Abigail Spencer had the honor of announcing Zachary Levi as a nominee at this year’s People’s Choice Awards and what made it even better was that Levi was actually there to announce nominees himself. The two shared a quick embrace before Levi drew a few chuckles from the crowd when he took over the podium to say, “I’d like to thank the academy!”

5. Ming-Na Wen fangirls over Nathan Fillion.
Proving that the stars are just like us, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D actress Ming-Na Wen just couldn’t help but show her love for Castle actor Nathan Fillion. After announcing Fillion as a nominee in the “Favorite TV Crime Drama Actor” category, the actress excitedly proclaimed Fillion as her “favorite.” Guess we know who’s getting her vote in that category!
