People’s Choice Awards 2016 has a new category this year! “The DailyMail.com Seriously Popular Award” honors the five nominees who keep blowing up your newsfeed with every new move they make or headline they snag. Bella Thorne, Cara Delevingne, Kylie Jenner, Maddie Ziegler, and Ruby Rose certainly know how to make an appearance and turn a few heads.
Here’s our list of the five times these ladies made you stop and look.
When it comes to demanding attention with class, Bella Thorne has got it down to an art. The young starlet turned 18 in October, and in lieu of gifts, she asked that her friends and fans donate to The Boys and Girls Club of America. She told TooFab.com, “Every penny raised will go to the SMART Girls program. I have everything I could ever need so please help me celebrate turning 18 by helping others.”
When Cara Delevingne opened up to Vogue in June about why she left modeling to start acting, she spoke out against an industry that women idolize — and she wasn’t afraid to lay down the blunt truth. “It was a machine that I wasn’t controlling,” said the Paper Towns star. “It was like the disgusting way I felt inside was transposing itself on my skin. Somebody should have said stop.”
Showing up to a red carpet with blue hair will definitely turn a few heads, especially when you pair it with a dangerously low-cut, white pantsuit like Kylie Jenner did at the Bellami Beauty Bar launch event in Los Angeles in June. We can’t look away! Move over, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Kendall, baby sister Kylie is storming Hollywood with her fierce fashion moves.
Ever wonder what it’s like to be a famous musical artist’s muse? Just ask Maddie Ziegler. The Dance Moms star has starred in three different Sia music videos in recent years (including the hugely popular “Elastic Heart,” which premiered in January), and has showed off her beautiful dance moves in each one. Now, every time a new Vevo video is released, the world holds its breath to see what new twisted masterpiece Ziegler will star in this time!
Gender-fluid actress Ruby Rose made a short but powerful speech about marriage equality in Australia when she won GQ Australia’s Woman of the Year award in early November. This is not the first time the Orange is the New Black star has pulled no punches when it comes to speaking up about equality, and we imagine that it certainly won’t be the last!
