This French cuisine inspired flick follows the story of Remy the rat, an aspiring chef in Paris, despite being, you know… a rat. Together, he and his human pal Linguini manage to take the restaurant scene by storm with the power of their combined cooking.

The fact that this movie features Johnny Depp and chocolate is about all you need to know to rush to Netflix to watch it. Besides the many delectable chocolate-making scenes, there are also quite a few rich and gooey characters to enjoy!

Jiro Dreams of Sushi

This documentary follows the life and career of sushi-master, Jiro Ono, and his two sons, who joined him in the sushi business. You may not be a big fan of sushi at the beginning of the movie, but you’ll definitely be craving a lobster roll by the end!

Julie & Julia

If you’re a fan of fabulous recipes, blogging, and Meryl Streep, this movie is for you. The film cuts between two women learning the ins and outs of cooking, despite the many doubts of people in their life. One of them just happens to be Julia Childs, the most famous female chef of all time.

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

In a town that practically lives off of sardines, you can imagine what a refreshing change of pace it is when meatballs and candy and other delectable treats begin to fall from the sky thanks to the neighborhood’s resident inventor. A machine that turns water to food soon turns sour though, when a tornado of spaghetti and other gigantic food hits!

The star-studded cast of this movie pulled audiences in, but it was the deliciously depicted food that really caught everyone’s attention. Food truck meals are pretty universally known as on-the-go food, but Chef paints a completely different picture, as a successful Los Angeles chef trades in his fancy restaurant to travel the country serving fast — but delectable! — food out of the back of a truck!

The Hundred Foot Journey

If you’re a fan of Indian food or rude French chefs, this movie is definitely for you! The Hundred Foot Journey tells the story of an Indian family losing their restaurant in Mumbai due to political unrest and traveling to France to try to start up their business again, only to face off against a haughty French chef across the street.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Whether you prefer the old-school version from the ’70s (similarly titled Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory) or the new Johnny Depp version, you can’t go wrong with a movie about five kids set loose on a candy factory. Admit it, you absolutely would have fallen into that chocolate river too!

Eat Pray Love

Julia Roberts stuns us for the umpteenth time in this film about a recently divorced woman who sets out on a cross-continental journey to find herself. Along the way, she finds some of the most fabulous foods that Italy, India, and Indonesia have to offer! If your mouth isn’t watering 30 minutes in, there’s something seriously wrong with you.

No Reservations

The fast-paced New York City kitchen atmosphere hardly seems like a place for love to blossom, but bloom it does in this heartfelt rom-com about a head chef who falls in love with her new hire. Alongside the gorgeous dishes that appear in this film, you can also spot a young Abigail Breslin, who plays the recently orphaned niece of Catherine Zeta Jones‘ character.
