With leading roles on The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow and the upcoming revival of Prison Break, 2016 is already gearing up to be a busy one for actor Dominic Purcell. But despite a full plate, Purcell said he’s making it work.

When we caught up with the actor at the CW Upfronts earlier this summer, Purcell let us in on how he’s going to be splitting his time between two of television’s most highly anticipated series.

“We shoot out Legends, the first season and then in the hiatus, we go straight into Prison Break,” explained Purcell. “And there, Prison Break and Legends will be bouncing back and forth— [we'll be] making it work.”

Of course, Purcell isn’t the only Legends of Tomorrow star set to return for Prison Break. Actor Wentworth Miller, who plays Purcell’s brother on both television shows will also be juggling both series.

Considering the way Miller’s storyline as Michael Scofield ended (spoiler alert: he died!), many fans are wondering exactly how his character will be brought back when the series picks back up again. However, according to Purcell, if the series can bring back actress Sarah Wayne Callies, who played Michael’s presumably dead love interest Sara Tancredi, then anything is possible.

“Well, it is movies— it is make believe so they can do anything,” teased Purcell. “I mean, if Sara’s head was in a box, and then it’s not in a box, and she’s coming back? I mean, it’s possible."

Considering the upcoming revival is set to take place after season four, but before the straight-to-DVD Prison Break movie, we’re thinking that this gives writers a bit more wiggle room to play around with the fate of all of our favorite Prison Break characters!

Legends of Tomorrow is set to premiere on The CW on January 21, 2016, and Prison Break is set to return to Fox sometime in 2016.
