Should she whip or should she nae nae?

People’s Choice Awards host Jane Lynch kicked off the show in incredible fashion on Wednesday night with an electrifying — and absolutely hilarious — live opening number.

The Glee alum proved she’s still got the moves and the pipes when she took the stage to perform Walk the Moon’s mega-hit, “Shut Up and Dance.” Of course, Lynch didn’t perform just any old version of the song. Instead, the host decided to put her own People’s Choice Awards spin on the track, replacing the chorus with the fitting lyrics, “Stand Up and Choose.”

And the fun didn’t end there. Lynch, who was accompanied by a number of female dancers and Quest Crew, also hit the audience with a little “whip” and a little “nae nae.” Should she whip or should she nae nae? We’re going with both!

Lynch’s performance marked the show’s first live opening number in six years. And based on how well she pulled it off, it’s easy to see why she was the host to bring back the spectacle. What did you think of Jane Lynch’s opening number?
