Add Star Trek actor Chris Pine to the long list of fans who would love to see a third Princess Diaries movie!

Pine, who memorably played Lord Nicholas Devereaux in 2004’s Princess Diaries sequel, recently took part in a fan question and answer sesh over at Entertainment Weekly to promote his upcoming drama The Finest Hours. One particular admirer of the Disney franchise that made Anne Hathaway a household name asked Pine about his thoughts on a potential third installment of the film.

“Don’t you pray every night for a Princess Diaries 3,” the fan asked. “BECAUSE I DO.”

Pine’s perfect response? “Have you been reading my diary???”

While Pine may be on board for more Princess Diaries, the chances of the franchise becoming a trilogy are slim.

Last June, a false report claiming that a third Princess Diaries movie was in development had the Internet buzzing about a return to Genovia. While fan interest for a third installment is certainly there, Princess Diaries star Julie Andrews was skeptical about the possibility of a third film back in a 2012 interview with Access Hollywood.

“I would never say no because Disney’s so wonderfully clever and inventive, but I would think they’ll stay with just the two because of Annie,” Andrews said.

While it’s not the same thing as seeing Pine reprise his role as Lord Nicholas Devereaux, The Finest Hours, which also stars Casey Affleck, Holliday Grainger, Ben Foster, John Ortiz, and Eric Bana, arrives in theaters on January 29.
