Jack Black and Kate Hudson didn’t spend too much time together while lending their voices to the upcoming Kung Fu Panda 3, but according to the actors, all it took was one joint session in the recording booth for sparks to fly!

When we caught up with the actors who voice Po and Mei Mei, respectively, at this year’s People’s Choice Awards, Black joked about their undeniable chemistry as an on-screen couple.

“We only worked together one day. The truth is, you work in isolation on these cartoons, but we got lucky and we got to party one day together,” revealed Black of teaming up with Hudson. “I feel like there was some pretty powerful chemistry!”

Hudson agreed wholeheartedly with her co-star’s conclusion of the short time they spent together on set.

“It was kind of like, electric,” said Hudson of teaming up with Black. “We’re gonna take that electricity to China very soon!"

We certainly can’t wait to see what the two bring to the table when the latest Kung Fu Panda film hits theaters!

Also starring Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, and Lucy Liu, Kung Fu Panda 3 premieres Jan. 29, 2016.
