Game of Thrones may have just sparked a trend— at least, according to late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel!

Following Jon Snow’s grand return this past Sunday, Kimmel joked that now that Game of Thrones had chosen to resurrect one of its fan favorites from the dead, it was only a matter of time before other television shows followed suit.

Kimmel then proceeded to show the audience a fake promo for Grey’s Anatomy in which Melisandre (Carice van Houtem) makes a special visit to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

“It’s been a year since we said goodbye, but a new face in the hospital is about to change everything,” says the voiceover as flashes of some of our favorite doctors flash on the screen.

Next, we see Melisandre give McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey) the same treatment she gave Jon Snow and effectively brings him back from the dead. Similar to what happened in Game of Thrones the short promo ends with Dr. Derek Shepherd subtly showing that the magic has worked and that he is indeed alive.

As great as having McDreamy back would be, we’re betting that something like this sadly isn’t in the cards for Grey’s Anatomy, but nevertheless, we’re sure Kimmel’s new video will make for some interesting crossover fan-fiction inspiration among the fandom!
