Prepare to start your day on a high note, Barden Bella fans! The release date for Pitch Perfect 3 has been moved up, so you’ll now be able to enjoy the next installment of Pitch Perfect two weeks earlier!

Universal Pictures has announced that the film will revert back to its original opening date, July 21, 2017, after being bumped to an August 4 release date several months ago. The change means that Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, and the rest of your returning favorites avoids a head to head cinematic sing-off with Ridley Scott’s return to the Alien universe, as Alien: Covenant is slated for an August 4 release.

The July 21, 2017 date, however, is still quite competitive.

The third Pitch Perfect movie will now open against writer/director Christopher Nolan’s World War II thriller Dunkirk, Fox’s animated film The Story of Ferdinand, and the sci-fi adventure Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, which stars Cara Delevingne, Ethan Hawke, Clive Owen, and Rihanna.

While details regarding the Kay Cannon penned Elizabeth Banks directed film remain scarce, we know that Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, and Banks have all signed on to reprise their roles in the film and that producers have reached out to Adam DeVine to ask if he’s interested in returning for the second sequel.
