The Big Bang Theory fans will be left wanting more when the season finale of the CBS hit comedy series airs this month.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Steve Molaro revealed that those who tune in to the final episode of the season can expect it to end on a cliffhanger.

According to Molaro, that final moment will center around Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) trying to make up for the fact that they got married so quickly by hosting a slew of friends and family who will come into town to watch them have a proper ceremony. With that much family all in one room, Molaro said viewers can expect to see some very interesting situations ensue as everyone winds up converged under one roof.

Specifically, the showrunner teased that things might get a bit sticky when Leonard’s father (Judd Hirsch) and Sheldon’s mother (Laurie Metcalfe) suddenly take a liking to one another.

“We leave [the season] in typical Big Bang fashion — on a bit of a cliffhanger with Leonard, Penny and Sheldon in the living room making sense of everything that’s going on,” teased Molaro.

We’ll definitely be looking forward to seeing how Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard react to the idea of sparks flying between their respective divorcee parents! It’s bound to make for some awkward and hilarious moments on the series!

The Big Bang Theory season finale airs Thursday at 8 p.m. on CBS.
