The CW has just picked up Riverdale, a brand-new series based on Archie Comics characters, and no one is more excited about it than Cole Sprouse.

The upcoming series marks The Suite Life of Zack and Cody star’s big return to television so naturally, he felt the need to celebrate with his fans. Soon after the network announced that they had picked up the show, Sprouse took to his Twitter to share his reaction to the good news.

“Good news gang, new snow #Riverdale was picked up. Catch my return on the #CW. All your #Archie fandom in one place,” wrote the actor.

The tweet also came along with two photos featuring the cast of the upcoming series. One was a cute shot of actresses Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes, who play Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge respectively. The other features Sprouse himself making a silly face alongside his co-star K.J. Apa, who is set to play Archie Andrews in the series.

Sprouse has been cast in the role of Jughead Jones and given his silly antics in the photo he tweeted, it looks like he’s already getting into character.

Set to premiere in the 2016-2017 season, Riverdale pegs all of our favorite Archie comics characters in the present day. The series will find our favorite group of friends exploring the darkness and weirdness that lurks within the seemingly wholesome town of Riverdale.
