Last week, Brad Paisley released his latest single, “Without a Fight,” a country collaboration featuring Demi Lovato. The new single predictably catapulted to the top spot of the Mediabase country radio add board, and may have just inspired yet another huge country artist to team up with Lovato.
And it all started with a simple tweet.
“Hey @Carrieunderwood I’m singing with @ddlovato on my new song. Jealous?” Paisley recently tweeted at Underwood.
Jealous? Obviously! Who wouldn’t be a little green with envy about the opportunity to perform with Lovato and her astonishing vocal range? Underwood’s response to the tweet was both amazing and predictable.
“@BradPaisley @ddlovato As a matter of fact, I am,” Underwood responded. “I’ve always wanted to sing with Demi Lovato!”
The Twitter lovefest didn’t end there! The “Stone Cold” singer chimed in on the star-studded social media conversation, throwing some Twitter love in Underwood’s direction.
“@carrieunderwood @BradPaisley then you gotta join us cause I’ve always wanted to sing with YOU too!!” she wrote.
While we wait to see if this potential Lovato/Underwood collaboration will ever happen, you might want to get your DVR ready. Paisley and Lovato will perform “Without a Fight” Tuesday, May 24 on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.
What do you think? Do you like the idea of a Carrie Underwood/Demi Lovato duet?
