Selena Gomez is known for catching up with her fans after performances, but the singer recently revealed that she may have to stop the meet-and-greets. Before you get too worked up over it though, you should know that the Revival singer has a good reason for potentially putting an end to the practice.
Gomez, who often posts group shots of herself and fans who wait to meet her after shows, took to Instagram to explain why she might be forgoing meet-and-greets going forward.
“Meeting you guys after my shows has been such a highlight…but because your safety is priority and most important if we can’t keep them contained I’ll have to stop. I’ll do it for as long as I can, but you matter most. Love you guys. Can’t wait to see you in Saskatoon” wrote Gomez in the caption of her latest’s group shot with fans outside of her Calgary, Canada show on Wednesday (May 19).
For the sake of Selenators far and wide, we’re hoping Gomez will be able to keep doing her post-show meet-and-greets. At the same time, we can’t argue with the singer here: safety should always come first!
