Hit me baby one more time!

Britney Spears is gearing up to debut her next album, and it promises to be very different from anything she’s released before. E! News caught up with the pop music staple while on the set of her music video for “Make Me (Oooh),” featuring Bay Area rapper G-Eazym, to get the scoop on the upcoming LP.

“I’ve been working on this project for a year and a half now, almost two years so it really means a lot to me. It’s my baby,” Spears told E!.

“Make Me (Oooh)” will serve as the lead single off her upcoming ninth album, which Spears describes as having a much more “chill” vibe than fans would expect from her.

“It’s a little melodic, a little more not so poppy,” said the pop star.

Many fans thought Brit was going to premiere a new song during her show-stopping performance at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards last month, but the songstress instead opted to take viewers on a trip down music memory lane by performing a medley of her biggest hits over the years. Fans will have to wait a little longer to get new music. E! News  reports that the new collab will drop next month followed by the full album in the fall.
