We already know that Room star Brie Larson is in talks to play Captain Marvel, but could the actress behind another dynamic female character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Elizabeth Olsen, be interested in a potential standalone film?
Debuting in Avengers: Age of Ultron and also appearing in Captain America: Civil War, the enigmatic Scarlet Witch has become an instant fan favorite. With Marvel’s overwhelming box office success, The Huffington Post recently asked Olsen if she’d be into starring in a Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff solo movie.
The actress, who remarked that the options for Wanda after the events of Civil War are “pretty limitless,” revealed that she’s not opposed to a Scarlet Witch film, but it would have to make sense for how it advances the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“It’s not something I’m opposed to, but it’s also something that has to make a lot of sense,” Olsen told The Huffington Post. “I wouldn’t just do it just to do it. It’d have to make sense for how it advances in the world. But I’d be open to talking about it. I’d never say no to just an idea.”
Do you hear that Marvel? Someone needs to start “talking” to Olsen about a Scarlet Witch movie immediately!
What do you think? Would you be interested in watching a Scarlet Witch standalone movie?
