A new poster for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has just been released and it’s absolutely stunning!
Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) takes center stage in the poster, which features him looking heroic against the rising sun. With his determined look, and his wand at the ready, he definitely appears to be ready to face whatever’s coming next. Perhaps the most telling aspect of the new image is that Newt is standing on a building that is missing a huge chunk of concrete. We’re not sure what caused the damage, but we’ve got a feeling Newt will be on the case in the movie.
Just like the teaser trailers, the brand new Fantastic Beasts poster does a great job of building the intrigue for whatever author J.K. Rowling has in store. As Potter heads who have been closely following news pertaining to the movie will know, the film is set in the 1920s and follows Newt’s unexpected extended stay in the Big Apple. The magizoologist was only meant to stay in New York for a short while but his plans change after some of the magical creatures captured within his trusty briefcase escape.
Directed by David Yates (The Legend of Tarzan, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2), and written by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, the film also stars Ezra Miller (The Perks of Being A Wallflower), Colin Farrell (In Bruges), Jon Voight (Same Kind of Different As Me), Katherine Waterston (Manhattan Romance), Alison Sudol (The Lucky One), and Gemma Chan (Humans).
Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them opens in theaters November 18, 2016.
