Heads up, Harry Potter fans! J.K. Rowling just made a very special announcement about Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them that you won’t want to miss!
The Potter author revealed on Monday (June 27) that she and actor Eddie Redmayne, who stars as Newt Scamander in the upcoming movie, will be attending a special screening for the film at New York City’s Carnegie Hall on Saturday, November 12. Fans who attend will not only get the chance to see the highly anticipated film a few days earlier than the rest of the United States, but they’ll also be treated to an in-depth conversation between Rowling and Redmayne.
According to Bustle, tickets for the special event are are already on sale as of 11 a.m. ET through the Carnegie Hall Box Office, or online through the venue’s official website, and range in price from $25 to $500.
According to a press release announcing the event, all ticket sales will benefit Rowling’s non-profit children’s organization, the Lumos Foundation, and go toward funding their upcoming We Are Lumos Worldwide campaign. Set to kick off this September, the upcoming campaign aims to help raise awareness and funds to help end the practice of placing children in orphanages.
