Glee alum Chris Colfer is officially back in the recording studio, though, not necessarily to record music!

The actor recently took to his Instagram to let fans know that he was hard at work recording the audiobook for the fifth installment of his children’s book series, The Land of Stories: An Author’s Odyssey.

“Laying down some sweet tracks…of an audiobook. #tlos5,” teased Colfer in the caption of the image.

We’re sure we’re not the only ones who were just a tiny bit disappointed that being in the recording studio doesn’t mean Colfer was getting ready to release some new tunes. Even so, the fact that he’s in there at all will surely be cause for excitement for bookworms that have been devouring his Land of Stories series for years.

The fifth installment of Colfer’s best-selling series is set to be released in just a few weeks. In it, readers will find Connor realizing that the only way to fight the Masked Man’s literary army is to travel into his own short stories and fend him off there. Once within the stories, it’ll be a race against time to see if twins, Alex and Conner are able to stop the Masked Man and bring peace to the fairy tale world.

The Land of Stories: An Author’s Odyssey is available in book, audiobook, and ebook format beginning July 12.
