There really is only *one* Tree Hill.
Fans of the long-running WB/CW series One Tree Hill know this and the cast members of the hit show especially know this, which is why everyone dropped what they were doing and reunited in Wilmington, NC AKA Tree Hill over the weekend.
Cast, crew, and fans were at the event, but who else? People’s Choice, of course! We just had to get in on the fun and document everything for everyone that couldn’t make it to the (hopefully annual) event.
So, whether you made it to the convention and just want to relive some highlights or you missed out and want to pretend like you were there, we’ve got you covered!
Here’s a breakdown of everything that happened during the One Tree Hill cast reunion from Friday to Sunday (July 22-24):
While the convention itself, held at the Humanities & Fine Arts Center, didn’t start until Saturday morning, there was plenty of OTH-filled fun to have the night before.
Bethany Joy Lenz Concert:
Bethany Joy Lenz (Haley James Scott) kicked things off with a sold-out concert at Bourgie Nights with her Firepit Band. It was an intimate venue filled with fans who mostly had only heard her sing on the series. Bethany sang a number of new songs, some covers, as well as tracks written by her band members. Much to the dismay of some fans in the crowd, however, Bethany didn’t sing anything she had performed on One Tree Hill. Bethany later told People’s Choice after we interviewed her the following day that she just doesn’t feel connected to her old songs anymore and only wants to sing what she feels connected to.
Karaoke with Antwon Tanner and Hilarie Burton
After the concert, many fans headed over to Ziggy’s by the Sea to do some karaoke with Antwon Tanner (Skills) and Hilarie Burton (Peyton Sawyer) until the wee hours of the morning. For hours it was simply fans hanging out with members of the cast that they grew up loving and seeing what they were like in person. The answer? Fun, sweet, exciting, and relatable.
Hilarie and Antwon did some karaoke, fans did some karaoke, and then, at some points, everyone did karaoke together. A little ways into the event, fans were treated to some surprises, like the appearances of Cullen Moss (Junk) and Michael Copon (Felix). With so many from the OTH family all in one place, everyone knew something even more special was about to happen…like the cast singing the show’s theme song, Gavin Degraw‘s “I Don’t Want to be.”

Friday night was a blast, but things were far from over. The actual convention activities were finally starting, and everything kicked off with the opening ceremony Saturday morning, as the attending cast joined convention creator and former crew member, Beth Crookham, on stage. It was a quite a sight to see everyone all in one place, on one stage.
And, being the family that they are, everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to birthday buddies (July 25) Shantel VanSanten (Quinn James) and James Lafferty (Nathan Scott). Unfortunately, James wasn't there in person, but that just made everyone sing even louder. So sweet!
Bethany & Hilarie Q&A
Throughout the day, fans in attendance had photo ops with the cast, autograph signings, as well as special Q&A panels with different stars. Here's what we learned from the Bethany & Hilarie Q&A...
We know, that's a lot to take in. Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out. Good? Good. Let's move on to Sunday.
Tour of Tree Hill
There was a lot happening over such a short amount of time, but we had to fit in time to hop on one of the OTH Trolley tours and we're so glad we did! Our tour was guided by Cullen Moss (Junk), who showed us the areas around town where scenes from the series were filmed. Guys, we were really in Tree Hill. We put up the tour on our Snapchat (@peopleschoice), but for those of you who missed it, here are the highlights:
Chad Michael Murray, Lee Norris & Antwon Tanner Q&A
Think things can't get any more emotional? Prepare yourself, because the waterworks and the feelings, ALL OF THE FEELINGS, are coming your way.
Chad Michael Murray (Lucas Scott), Lee Norris (Mouth) and Antwon had a Q&A panel together and it was just like we were all back on the river court together. See for yourself, but don't say we didn't warn you...
Shantel VanSanten Q&A
With all of the emotions still running high from the Q&A earlier in the day, fans didn't know how much more nostalgia they could take, but no one was about to turn down what came next.
Shantel VanSanten (Quinn James) decided to treat fans with some Toaster Strudel. No, not actual Toaster Strudels, but the jingle that she sang on the show. Even yummier!
It's safe to say that this was a weekend that no one will forget and a weekend that we want to have again and again. With that, we'll leave you with one final photo.
Stay tuned to PeoplesChoice.com for interviews with the cast!
