It’s a mother/daughter reunion on The Big Bang Theory!

Big Bang Theory showrunner Steve Molaro revealed at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend that the long-running CBS series is finally introducing Penny’s mother — and it’s none other than Kaley Cuoco’s former TV mom, Katey Sagal!

Kaley and Katey previously portrayed mother and daughter from 2002 to 2005 on ABC’s 8 Simple Rules.

Sagal, a beloved television veteran who has also starred on Married with Children, Sons of Anarchy, and Futurama, will play Susan, a character who’s stressed out and neurotic from a life lived with her troubled son.

Cuoco couldn’t contain her excitement over the reunion, posting an adorable throwback photo of her with Katey on Instagram.

“Yes yes yes yes,” the actress captioned the photo. “Once my tv mom, always my tv mom 😍 love you @kateylous !!!!! #fullcircle @thebigbangtheory.”

Penny’s mom isn’t the only member of the Hofstadter clan we’re about to meet. 30 Rock standout Jack McBrayer will play Penny’s brother, Randall, who’s described as a cheerful ex-con.

Both Sagal and McBrayer will appear in the first episode of season 10.
