Grab some tinfoil and duct tape because MacGyver’s back!
CBS’ upcoming remake of the popular ’80s series just released its first action-packed trailer that fans of the original show will certainly appreciate. Lucas Till (X-Men: Apocalypse) takes over the titular role made famous by Richard Dean Anderson as he portrays the unconventional action hero who often uses his unorthodox methods of problem-solving skills in order to save lives.
MacGyver creates a clandestine organization within the U.S. government, and the trailer, which deftly combines action and campy humor, introduces us to his team. George Eads portrays Jack Dalton a.k.a. “the muscle;” Tristin Mays plays a computer hacker named Riley Davis; Justin Hires takes on the role of MacGyver’s best friend and roommate Wilt Bozer; and Sandrine Holt plays the boss, Patricia Thornton.
The official trailer gives us a preview of adventures to come as a planned heist goes off the rails forcing MacGyver and his team to do what they do best: improvise.
“It’s no fun if it’s too easy.”
“How’s he gonna stop an airplane?
He’s kidding right?
My man never jokes about tinfoil.”
MacGyver premieres Friday, September 23 on CBS.
