MTV’s Faking It may have been cut too soon, but fans won’t have to wait long before actress Katie Stevens is back on their television screens.

TV Line reports that Stevens is the latest star to join the cast of Freeform’s Issues.

The new series is reportedly inspired by the life of Cosmopolitan magazine’s editor in chief, Joanna Coles, and takes place at the fictional Scarlet magazine. Issues takes a closer look at the magazine publishing industry in New York City and showcases the drama that goes on behind the scenes.

Stevens is set to play the role of Jane in the upcoming series, a young woman who has just landed her dream position at Scarlet. Together, along with her co-workers social media director Kat (Chasing Life’s Aisha Dee) and assistant Sutton (Political Animals’ Meghann Fahy), they’ll have to figure out how to navigate the cutthroat world of Scarlet, spearheaded by the editor in chief, Jacqueline (Transparent’s Melora Hardin).

There’s no word yet on when Issues will premiere on Freeform, but we do know that production is currently underway in Toronto!
