There’s no denying The CW is home to some seriously amazing television shows, but these series would be nothing without the ensembles that make them up.
From Sam and Dean on Supernatural to the Mystic Falls gang on The Vampire Diaries, we love seeing our favorites get together to fight whatever new big bad is out to get them. Occasionally, however, there’s a character (or two or three!) who stands out so strongly that we can’t help but want to see them break away from the group to anchor their own series.
The CW has a knack for creating spinoffs around some of our favorite characters— just take a look at series like The Originals and Legends of Tomorrow! Even so, we think there’s room to add a few more spinoffs to their already impressive lineup. We’re guessing you feel the same, which is why we’re asking you to tell us which CW character — new or old! — you think is most deserving of a standalone series.
Perhaps you think The 100’s Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) could carry a prequel about life growing up in the Woods Clan? Or, maybe, with The Vampire Diaries coming to a close, you’d love to see a series devoted to what comes next for Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Stefan (Paul Wesley), Caroline (Candice Accola) and Bonnie (Kat Graham)? Speaking of The Vampire Diaries, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) already proved he was standalone worthy by landing The Originals — should Elijah’s (Daniel Gillies) go solo next? Maybe you’d rather watch a show centered around Flash and Legends of Tomorrow’s Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller)? Or a spinoff all about Arrow favorite, Roy Harper (Colton Hayes)? Do you want to see iZombie’s Peyton Charles on the case with a show about her as a DA? And let’s not forget the Supernatural boys! If the series were ever to come to a close, would you prefer Sam (Jared Padelecki) or Dean (Jensen Ackles) to helm a spinoff?
Regardless of which character you’d love to see spearhead their own standalone series, we want to hear about it. Take our poll below and then make sure to hit the comments to let us know which character you chose to nominate for a standalone series!
Poll closes Aug. 31, 2016!
