Carson recently sat down with Young Hollywood where she opened up about how excited she was to step into the proverbial glass slippers previously worn by the likes of Hilary Duff, Selena Gomez, and Lucy Hale.
“I’ve literally adored every single one of those movies,” Carson told Young Hollywood of the three films that have come before hers. “To be a part of that list— that legacy— is so surreal. It’s such an honor. It’s like a ‘pinch me’ moment every time I hear it.”
Carson may be part of a pretty impressive legacy, but there are many ways in which A Cinderella Story: If The Shoe Fits stands out among the rest.
For one, Carson explained that unlike the first three films, the newest installment is a full-on musical. The fact that music plays such a big role in the film fits well into the plot, which finds Carson’s Tessa, disguising herself in order to audition for a modern musical retelling of Cinderella.
We’re betting all those original songs are bound to get stuck in your head once you tune in to the film!
A Cinderella Story: If The Shoe Fits will air on Freeform in November, and is available on DVD now.
