Britney Spears made her grand return to the VMAs stage on Sunday night (Aug. 28) where she rocked the house with an epic performance.

The pop princess — who looked absolutely amazing in a yellow leotard and matching, sparkly knee-high go-go boots  — kicked things off with a sweet rendition of the first single off her new album, “Make Me…”

We kind of love that the Glory singer decided to forgo the big pyrotechnics for the first half of her performance, opting instead for a minimalist backdrop that featured a bit of shadow play as she sang and swayed along with two other backup dancers.

BritBrit, whose last performance at the VMAs was in 2007, was soon joined by rapper G-Eazy, who hit the stage to perform his rap on their hit summer collab. From there, the pair jumped into the rapper’s other hit summer single, “Me, Myself & I.” The track originally featured vocals by pop singer Bebe Rexha, but there’s no question BritBrit did it justice.

Transitioning back into “Make Me…,” the duo wrapped things up with some killer choreography to end the number.

The 2016 VMAs are far from over, but Britney’s “Make Me…”/“Me, Myself & I” mash-up is already among one of our favorite performances of the night!
