Gilmore Girls fans still don’t know how big of a role Jess will have in the upcoming Netflix revival, but actor Milo Ventimiglia isn’t ruling out the possibility of reprising the character past the four new episodes.
When we caught up with the actor on the red carpet for his new drama, This Is Us, at PaleyFest on Tuesday (Sept. 13), Ventimiglia revealed that as long as showrunners Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino are on board, he’ll gladly continue one of his most beloved roles.
“You know, never say never. Things could happen— you never know,” Ventimiglia told People’s Choice about coming back as Jess for more episodes. “As long as [Daniel Palladino] and [Amy Sherman-Palladino] are involved, and as long as they’re saying, ‘Hey, would you?’ I’ll of course be there. They’re two of my favorites.”
Given the actor’s comments, it sounds like the ball is very much in the Palladino’s court as far as whether or not there's more story left to tell after these new four episodes. Even so, it’s great to know that if there is, Milo would be all for returning to play Jess yet again!
