Here’s Where The Cast Of ‘Reba’ Is Today

It’s been almost 10 years since Reba went off the air and we can still hear the “I’m a Survivor” theme song in our heads. Reba was the family comedy that you loved to tune into because, though the Harts weren’t a perfect group, they were complex, crazy and very dysfunctional – which is even better.

Reba was basically the first Modern Family, combining a divorced couple, who had to raise their kids together, one of which got pregnant in high school, while balancing their personal lives with the mistress who later becomes stepmother to the children. So what’s the cast been up to since The WB show wrapped in 2007? We’ve got the answers below.

Reba McEntire (Reba Hart)

She’s Reba freaking McEntire! After Reba ended, the 61-year-old actress (who played the lead role of Reba Hart on the sitcom, obviously) and singer starred in another show called Malibu Country. Since then she’s guest starred on a few shows including Last Man Standing and Baby Daddy, where she reunited with Reba co-star, Melissa Peterman. Off-screen, McEntire’s been creating music year after year. Her most recent studio album, Love Somebody, was released in April 2015 and it was awesome. In July 2016 she also released Christmas album titled My Kind of Christmas, which is sure to get you in the holiday spirit!

JoAnna Garcia Swisher (Cheyenne Hart-Montgomery)

JoAnna Garcia Swisher portrayed Cheyenne, the oldest Hart child, who finds out she’s pregnant while still in high school. Swisher has appeared on Privileged and Better With You and guest starred on hits like Gossip Girl. Most recently, she had a recurring role as Ariel on ABC’s Once Upon a Time and a lead role on The Astronaut Wives Club.

Steve Howey (Van Montgomery)

Steve Howey, who played Cheyenne’s husband, the quirky athlete who wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, Van Montgomery, is still a working actor. Howey had numerous guest roles on a variety of TV shows, before landing the role as Daniel on Bride Wars opposite Kate Hudson. The 39-year-old actor starred alongside Hudson again in Something Borrowed in 2011. He is currently back on television starring as Kevin Ball on Shameless

Melissa Peterman (Barbara Jean Booker Hart)

Who can forget Barbara Jean? Melissa Peterman played the hilarious, mistress-turned-stepmom to Reba’s children on the comedy and we still love watching her crazy antics whenever reruns are on. Since her days playing the Texas dental assistant, Peterman has been on both TV series and in movies. Some of her bigger roles include Carli Mitchell on Working Class and a stint on Pretty the Series. Since 2012, Peterman’s been playing Bonnie Wheeler on Freeform’s Baby Daddy and she’s been killing it with her comedic timing.

Christopher Rich (Brock Hart)

Reba’s leading man, Christopher Rich, who played Brock Hart, has been acting since the ’80s. After the Texas-set comedy wrapped, Rich had a recurring role on Boston Legal until 2008. Since then he has been on numerous TV shows, including Desperate Housewives and Rizzoli & Isles. You might’ve recently seen him on a few episodes of Melissa & Joey, where he played Russell Burke. He is currently working on two new movies, Perception and Light on Sunshine, both set to be completed in 2016.

Scarlett Pomers (Kyra Hart)

Scarlett Pomers, who played the sassy, smart mouth, Kyra, started acting in 1995. She briefly left the series in 2005 and missed a few episodes before coming back and continuing her role. Once Reba finished, Pomers left acting for good, doing some voice-over work every now and then. Instead of acting, Pomers has been working as a photographer, musician, and jewelry designer, creating unique pieces for her online store, The Mermaid’s Lure.

Mitch Holleman (Jake Hart)

Mitch Holleman, who played the adorable Jake Hart, is 22 years old now! While Holleman has been less visible in the acting world since the series wrapped, he has had a few acting gigs over the years. He was on an episode of Shake It Up! in 2010 and six years later he appeared on Astrid Clover and starred in the movie Bus Driver. When he wasn’t acting, Holleman set his sights on other entertainment outlets. He was a guitarist in the band, Mumble & Ghost and describes himself as “an actor, musician, and stand-up comedian” on Twitter.
