An ‘American Horror Story’ Crossover Season Is In The Works And We Are So Excited

As if American Horror Story wasn’t scary enough, now there’s going to be a crossover season that’s bound to terrify (in a good way!).

Series creator Ryan Murphy revealed during Entertainment Weekly’s PopFest in Los Angeles this weekend that all of the thinly veiled connections and references to Murder House so far during season 6 are actually building up to a real crossover between the two seasons. And that’s not all — the crossover isn’t just going to be for an episode — it’s going to be for an entire season!

“It’s not going to be next season, but we are going to do a season that’s a crossover between Murder House and Coven together, which is very bizarre,” Murphy told fans at Entertainment Weekly’s PopFest, as reported by MTV. “There will be characters from Murder House and characters from Coven together.”

Bizarre or not, we cannot wait to see which characters cross paths in this future season. While we don’t know when the crossover season will premiere, we do know that American Horror Story isn’t going anywhere, which is the best news we could’ve asked for!

Now all we need is a few more hints as to which characters will collide. Will Evan Peters’ Tate Langdon reunite with his real-life love, Emma Roberts’ Madison Montgomery? Will Connie Britton finally return to the FX series and reprise her role of Vivien Harmon from Murder House? We are really crossing our fingers for this one.

What about Jessica Lange? She has to come back, right? Ideally she’ll return and sing, because let’s be honest her role as Elsa Mars on Freak Show was amazing. Yes, we know that’s not the season that is part of the crossover, but that doesn’t mean creepy singing can’t still be involved.

What do you hope to see in the crossover?

American Horror Story: Roanoke has new episodes every Wednesday on FX.
