Season two of The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow just got a little bit longer!
Variety reports that the network has ordered four more episodes from the superhero drama meaning season two will consist of 17 episodes in total, rather than 13.
Fans of the series, which brings together quite a few familiar faces from The Flash and Arrow, were a bit unsettled to discover that Legends of Tomorrow didn’t get a full 22/25 season order like it’s fellow superhero series counter parts did. Even so, the fact that The CW has decided to bump the episode count now bodes well for the sophomore series.
Coming up next, fans will get to experience this year’s massive CW superhero crossover event set to take place sometime this month. Stars like Grant Gustin and Caity Lotz have fueled our excitement for the big moment with behind the scenes photos from shooting the crossover, but it was Arrow showrunner, Marc Guggenheim’s comments that really got us jazzed to tune in.
“The story that’s being told has a beginning, middle, and end: a beginning in Flash, a middle in Arrow and an end in Legends,” explained Guggenheim during an interview with EW.
We can’t be the only ones looking forward to watching our favorites from Legends, Arrow, and Supergirl team up!
Legends of Tomorrow airs Thursdays on The CW, and The Flash-Arrow-Supergirl-Legends of Tomorrow crossover is set to premiere sometime in November.
