This is very exciting news for Hairspray Live! fans… Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson are going to be teaming up for an epic duet.

The two amazing singers are both starring in NBC’s Hairspray this year, and People reports that they’re going to join forces during the production to perform a song.

Grande will be playing Penny, who is Tracy Turnblad’s BFF in the musical, while Hudson will be portraying Motormouth Maybelle, aka the character who was previously played by Queen Latifah in the 2007 movie.

According to People, the duo will be using their powerful voices to sing, “Come So Far (Got So Far to Go),” and we are so excited.

We know both the Scream Queens star and the former American Idol singer can belt it when they want to, so this duet is bound to be a showstopper.

To see their amazing duet all you have to do is watch NBC’s Hairspray Live! which is based on the Broadway musical set in 1962 Baltimore. The story follows Tracy, who will be played by newcomer Maddie Baillio, who has always wanted to dance on The Corny Collins Show. When she finally gets her wish, she changes the face of TV while transforming her life in the process.

The rest of the cast includes, Kristin Chenoweth as Velma Von Tussle, Martin Short as Wilbur Turnblad, Derek Hough as Corny Collins, Sean Haynes as Mr. Pinkle and Rosie O’Donnell.

Hairspray Live! airs on December 7 on NBC, so don’t miss it!
