The boys of One Direction may be busy pursuing their own passions, but there’s one member who’s speaking out to assure directioners that they’ll be back someday.

In a recent interview with UK publication, The Sun, Niall Horan reminded fans that the hiatus the boys went on a year ago is only temporary.

“[One Direction] will be back,” promised Horan. “We would be silly not to…ridiculous.”

Directioners may be missing their favorite band, but the good news is, remanning members Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Horan himself haven’t strayed far from the entertainment world.

Horan has been keeping busy working on solo music and even performed his latest single, “This Town,” at the 2016 AMAs. Similarly, Payne is also back in the studio after signing a solo deal with Republic Records. While the singer hasn’t released an official first single, he’s been keeping fans updated by posting updates via his Twitter.

Despite signing a solo record deal with Columbia Records, Styles has put music on hold during the 1D hiatus in order to focus on acting. Up next, fans will be able to see him on the big screen in Christopher Nolan’s World War II drama, Dunkirk.

Finally, Tomlinson went back to his roots and served as an advisor on The X Factor shortly after 1D went on its break. While the singer’s been taking some time off to focus on being a dad, Tomlinson has been fairly vocal about his desire to hop into the studio at some point.

As happy as we are seeing the boys spread their wings alone, we’re definitely relieved to hear that we’ll get to see One Direction make music together again someday!
