Forbes has just released its list of the world’s highest paid musicians of 2016, and we’re betting some of your favorite artists made it on to this year’s coveted list!

There’s been no shortage of great music over the past year, but only one artist can say they’re officially the highest paid musical act in the world according to Forbes. So who’s this year’s top grossing songstress? Why, it’s none other than Taylor Swift!

Swift may be taking a break from music to pursue other things like her very own streaming channel, but between an incredibly successful album, and an even more successful world tour, it’s clear that the “Wildest Dreams” singer covered a lot of ground this past year.

Meanwhile, the lads of One Direction may have broken the hearts of fans everywhere after they announced they’d be going on hiatus, but that didn’t stop the boy band from scoring the coveted second place spot on Forbes’s list. According to the mag, the “History” singers earned a combined total of about $110 million, most of which they made by taking their show across the world on the On The Road Again Tour.

British singer Adele also had a big year, thanks largely in part to her grand comeback with her third studio album, 25. The “Hello” singer nabbed the third place spot on this year’s highest paid musicians list by earning a total of $80.5 million. So how did Adele do it? According to Forbes, the Brit has album sales to thank for her coveted third place spot.

Rounding out the top five are none other than Madonna and Rihanna, who earned $76.5 million and $75 million, respectively.
