All hail Baby Groot!

Marvel released its second trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 over the weekend at Comic Con in Sao Paulo, Brazil and it doesn’t disappoint. In fact, it finally gives us a look at Baby Groot, you know the 12-foot-tall talking tree played by Vin Diesel, as a baby, and he’s so freaking cute.

“The fate of the universe lies on your shoulders,” the voiceover says as the first action scene of the trailer kicks off and Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) is faced with yet another galaxy invader.

As ominous music plays, you see Star-Lord begin to fight as Rocket (Bradley Cooper) says one very important thing… don’t press the red button that can set off an atomic bomb and kill everyone. Who is he talking to? Baby Groot, of course!

While Baby Groot clearly doesn’t understand the message, which could eventually lead to him pressing the wrong button, his baby voice and the repetition of him saying, “I am Groot,” makes us smile. Sure, he could kill everyone by accident, but he’s too cute to care about that stuff.

Next week are reintroduced to the stars of the film, including a sassy look at the ever-dashing, Star-Lord (aka Peter Quill) as he announces, “Showtime A-holes!” Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket and Baby Groot all get their cameos too, before Baby Groot runs off with the bomb, which is bad, but again adorable.

The name of the movie then pops up, but it’s not the last teaser we see. Instead, there is one more brief scene, which involves the reveal of Star-Lord’s “sexual love” for Gamora and it’s hilarious.

Watch the whole trailer above and let us know what you think about the upcoming film, and of course its best character, Baby Groot!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5, 2017.
