2016 proved that Harry Potter’s still got the ability to cast his magic spell over audiences everywhere— that’s probably why the boy wizard topped this year’s list of Amazon’s best-selling books of 2016.

Fans everywhere came out in droves to purchase Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, earning the script book the number one spot on Amazon’s year-end list.

According to EW, the latest installment of the Potter saga, which tells the story of Harry and Ginny’s youngest son Albus Severus, also earned the number one spot on the best-selling Kids & Teens books of 2016, Most Gifted books of 2016, and Most Wished For books of 2016.

Amazon Senior Book Editor Chris Schluep spoke about The Boy Who Lived’s success in a statement announcing this year’s best-selling books, saying Potter’s still got the power to enchant audiences young and old.

“The power of Potter is still strong, and readers of all ages can’t get enough of Hogwarts,” said Schluep. “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was the most anticipated book of the year, breaking pre-order records months before its release.”

Cursed Child isn’t the only book that had a big year. Amazon additionally revealed that its patrons also gravitated toward Paul Kalanithi’s novel, When Breath Becomes Air, and John Grisham’s The Whistler. The books came in at number two and number three, respectively on Amazon’s list.
