Nicole Kidman is heading to television and now you can get a good look at the actress’ character on SundanceTV’s Top of the Lake.
The network released the a first look of Kidman’s character on Tuesday (Dec. 13) for the second season of the series called Top of the Lake: China Girl.
The newly released image features Kidman donning a head of frazzled grey waves. She’s got crimson blanket wrapped around her shoulders and whatever she’s looking at off camera has certainly got her full attention!
According to Vulture, Kidman is set to ply a character called Julia on the second season of the series. Julia is an Australian mother who’s path will eventually cross with Detective Robin Griffin (played by Mad Men alumn Elisabeth Moss).
Top of the Lake: China Girl is set to center around the corpse of a young woman who’s body is discovered on Australia’s Bondi Beach. When Detective Griffin is called in to investigate, she’ll find herself having to journey deep into Sydney’s seedy criminal ranks if she’s got any hope of figuring out what went down.
It sounds as though things are about to get incredibly intense on Sundance TV’s Top of the Lake: China Girl and we’re incredibly excited to see how Nicole Kidman’s Julia plays into the larger picture!
Top of the Lake: China Girl premieres sometime in 2017 on SundanceTV and Hulu.
